22nd Dance in the Park

City in Motion Dance Theater, Inc. is proud to announce that we are hosting the 22nd annual Dance in the Park!  We have a social distancing plan and we are ready to celebrate dance in Kansas City.  We keep growing and we want you to be a part of it!  The concert will be presented on Saturday evening, September 11, 2021 in the tranquil setting of Roanoke Park in mid-town Kansas City, just off Karnes Blvd & Roanoke Rd.

If you can not join us in-person there are two options to join in the fun!  This year we will be live streaming on Facebook (quality unknown, but fun to see in real time) and an offical filmed version of the show will be on our youtube channel the following Saturday, September 18! 

This FREE show kicks off at 6:30 with the Youth Pre- Show and the main show at 7 p.m. Bring a blanket, picnic, lawns chairs and the whole family!  The park will be marked out with social distancing guides to keep everyone safely seated apart.  Dance in the Park annually thrills crowds of 1,000+ audience members. This annual performance is a chance for the Roanoke neighborhood and visitors from the metropolitan region to experience an exciting performance of Kansas City’s unique dance companies and a sense of community.   Dance in the Park is produced by City in Motion Dance Theater in partnership with the Coleman Highlands, Roanoke, Volker & West Plaza neighborhoods. We rely solely on the support of businesses, donations and grants to produce Dance in the Park. Your sponsorship, program advertisement, donations and/or volunteer hours will be a clear signal that you care about our community and want to be actively involved in it!
